Just steps from the Pompidou Centre, L'Anthracite is situated in a small alleyway, away from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life and is an excellent Chatelet restaurant, bar and lounge. The décor is trendy and inviting and the ambience relaxing. The heated terrace overlooks the pedestrian street and service is warm and friendly. The menu offers a good mix of simple, traditional dishes such as ham cooked in a towel with mashed potatoes, or small roasted Camembert, as well as more elaborate dishes such as roast lamb with honey served with wok-fried vegetables. The restaurant also offers musical cabaret with an eclectic programme of artists. L'Anthracite also boasts a resident DJ every Saturday night.
